MABA Annual General Meeting – 5th March 2026 - Save the Date!

NOTICE OF MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Manjimup Amateur Basketball Association (Inc) will be held on Thursday 5 March 2026 at the Indoor Sports Pavilion, 36 Arnott Street, Manjimup commencing at 6:30pm.

NOTICE OF MOTION

Any member desiring to propose a motion at the AGM must give notice in writing to the Manjimup Amateur Basketball Association by no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday, 4 February 2026 of the motion which the Member will propose at the AGM.

ELECTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Nominations are hereby sought for the election to the following positions on the Committee.

Positions for Election: As listed on Nomination Form for Election to Committee (Annexure A).

Closing Date for Committee Nominations and Motions on Notice:

Nominations close with the Secretary Wednesday, 4 February 2026 at 5.00pm.

How to Nominate:

Any person desiring to nominate for election to the Committee must lodge with MABA via email to info@manjimupbasketball.com.au as per the closing date.

14.2      Nomination of Elected Committee Members

(a)      At least 42 days before an AGM, the Secretary must send written notice to all the Members:

(i)        calling for nominations for election to the Committee; and

(ii)       stating the date by which nominations must be received by the Secretary to comply with sub-Rule (b).

(b)      A Member who wishes to be considered for election to the Committee at the AGM must nominate for election by sending written notice of the nomination to the Secretary at least 28 days before the AGM.

(c)       The written notice must include a statement by another Member in support of the nomination.

(d)      A Member whose nomination does not comply with this Rule is not eligible for election to the Committee unless the Member is nominated under Rule 14.3(b).

*The Executive Committee proposes the following amendment at the upcoming AGM to Section 13 – Composition of Committee and Duties of Members: to divide the Junior Coordinator role into two separate positions, namely Junior Boys’ Coordinator and Junior Girls’ Coordinator. Please nominate accordingly.
